Fiducia vs Trustpilot
Trustpilot's paid plans start around $99 a month and its API sits on the top tiers. Fiducia keeps every page and review open to AI assistants and costs €19 a month.
| Trustpilot | Fiducia | |
|---|---|---|
| Cheapest paid plan | Starter from $99 per month per domain, billed annually (100 invites a month, only for businesses under $5M revenue). | Pro: €19 or $19 per month, cancel anytime (bulk invites: up to 500 customers at once, as a CSV of single-use links). |
| Free plan | Yes: 50 review invitations a month. | Free forever: your public page, single-use invite links, public replies, the embeddable badge and the open API. |
| AI crawlers (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot) | Mixed. Company pages at /review/<domain> are open to GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot, but /reviews/ and the transparency pages are disallowed for them; CCBot and anthropic-ai are blocked entirely. | Allowed. robots.txt blocks no AI crawler, and llms.txt lists every business page. |
| Structured data (schema.org AggregateRating) | Rich snippets through TrustBox widgets on your own site; not verified on trustpilot.com pages. | Yes: Organization, AggregateRating and Review on every page, server-rendered. |
| Your data if you leave | No API on Free, Starter or Plus; an API module is sold on Premium and included in Enterprise (third-party sources). | None. Every page is public HTML and every summary is open JSON (CORS open), so anyone can read or copy it. |
| How fake reviews are kept out | Open platform: anyone can review without an invitation; businesses cannot pay to remove reviews, only flag them; invitations must be neutral. | A review counts only after the reviewer confirms an email address; invited reviews are marked as such; the history is append-only, so edits never silently replace earlier text. |
When Trustpilot is the better choice
Your customers already know the Trustpilot name, you sell mostly to consumers in the UK or Europe, and a recognised logo on your checkout is worth more to you than the price.
When Fiducia is the better choice
You want reviews that every AI assistant and crawler can read in full, structured data on every page, an open API from the free plan, and a price that does not scale with your domain count.
Questions
Can ChatGPT read Trustpilot reviews?
Partly. Trustpilot's robots.txt lets GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot fetch company pages but disallows the /reviews/ paths and blocks CCBot, whose crawl feeds many training sets.
Is there a free Trustpilot alternative?
Fiducia is free for the page, the badge and single invites; Pro (€19 or $19 a month) only adds bulk invites.
Can I move my reviews from Trustpilot?
Yes: export them as CSV (or copy them into a sheet) and import the file in your Fiducia dashboard, free up to 50 reviews. Imported reviews keep rating, text, author and date and are labelled as imported from Trustpilot; new ones you collect are verified by email. Step by step: /switch/trustpilot.
